Alongside the 1000 works presented each year in various mediums – painting, engraving, sculpture, artist books, architecture, drawing, environmental art, myths and singularities, – for the first time, digital art will be in the spotlight at the Salon d’Automne (the Digital Art section was created in 2016), and more specifically the hologram (3D projections of illusions with strong realistic power), which will offer an immersive experience to the public through DJing and holographic shows.
Indeed, holographic concerts by the greatest electronic music DJs and, more particularly, French and European artists such as Charles Schilling, Dan Ghenacia, Politics of Dancing, Jérôme Pacman, Jeff K., Djebali, as well as Guillaume Atlan of Supermen Lovers, the sponsor of the 117th edition, will be presented to the public.
Mapping (projection of sound and light creations), will also be one of the invited components of the fair through the artist collective Domino Full Action, notably with the initiative of the holographic DJs project. Also projected will be mappings of the signature graffiti from the Kosmopolite Collectiv, Intox and Lord Anthony Cahn, as well as digital and sensory performances by artists like The Shaders will be presented, inviting us to discover all the possibilities of the digital universe.
Domino Full Action is a collective founded by Jérôme Dorise–Abdeljalil that offers a platform for artists and technicians collaborate and express themselves through projects using new technologies and interactivity (physical and digital) in the service of music, art and fashion: ranging from visual light design to video.js, from dynamic street art to sound experiences and dance.
