Віктор Зарубін… навчався живопису у Ж. Лефевра та Т. Робера-Флері в Парижі, де влаштував свою першу виставку в 1896 р. Потім він став учнем відомого українсько-російського живописця А. Куїнджі.
В.Зарубін - майстерний художник-пейзажист - відомий своїми величними зображеннями бретонських і норманнських сцен, часто оживлених невеликими фігурками місцевих жителів, які йдуть до церкви чи по своїм справам. Запам’ятовується також його продумана серія пейзажів українського села з білими хатами та трудящими селянами.

Victor Zarubin… had studied painting with J. Lefebvre and T. Robert-Fleury in Paris, where he held his first exhibition, in 1896. Then, he became an apprentice of the famous Ukrainian/Russian painter A.Kuindzhi.
Zarubin - the master landscape artist - is famous for his stately depictions of Breton and Norman scenes, often animated with small figurines of local inhabitants, on their way to church or other occupations. His elaborate series of landscapes of the Ukrainian countryside, with white huts and working peasants, are also memorable.

Victor Zarubin… a étudié la peinture avec J. Lefebvre et T. Robert-Fleury à Paris, où il tient sa première exposition, en 1896. Puis, il devient l'apprenti du célèbre peintre Ukrainien/Russe A.Kuindzhi.
Zarubin - le maître paysagiste - est célèbre pour ses majestueuses descriptions de scènes bretonnes et normandes, souvent animées de petites figurines des habitants du lieu, qui se rendent à l'église ou à d'autres occupations. Sa série élaborée de paysages de la campagne ukrainienne, avec des huttes blanches et des paysans au travail, est également mémorable.
