The Salon around the world

From the outset, by receiving a large number of foreign artists, the Salon d'Automne has been outward-looking. Thanks to its extremely rich history, taught in all the art schools of the world, it has been able to retain the esteem of international creators wishing to hang their works on its Parisian picture rails. In return, many exhibitions are organized abroad under its prestigious banner.

Japan

The Friends of the Arts and of Europe Club (CAEA)

Thanks to the friendship between the two painters Seiji Togo and Francois Baron-Renouard in the 1970’s, the Salon d’Automne has built a strong collaboration and partnership with the Japan International Artists Society, and its president, Toshifumi Magori.
Over the years, the CAEA has become a full-fledged division at the Salon d'Automne, presenting an important selection of outstanding Japanese works each year in Paris.
In exchange, more than 65 painters, photographers, illustrators and engravers selected at the Salon d'Automne are invited annually to exhibit their work at the National Art Center in Tokyo.

Europe

BBK, a European partnership for artistic creation

For a number of years now, the Salon has maintained solid, long-term relations with its German and Polish partners, fostering rich artistic exchanges.
As part of this cooperation and the Amplitude project, French artists have once again had the opportunity to showcase their work alongside talented artists from European art associations based in :
Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Czech Republic

This dynamic partnership is a real driver for artistic development, a vehicle for intercultural dialogue and a valuable source of mutual enrichment.

These exhibitions embody our shared commitment to making art a space for encounters, sharing and emotions.
We are convinced that this synergy will continue to grow and strengthen in the years to come.

"As the Weimar Triangle builds a political bridge between West and East, between France, Germany and Poland, the transnational art project "Amplitude" has the ambition to reflect exactly this connection in the field of art. [...] "

China

Salon d'Automne selection in Xi'An

In continuing our partnership with the artist’s association in the province of Shaanxi in Xi’An in China, presented at the Salon for the past three years, the Salon d'Automne presented the work of 175 artists selected in the sections of painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, architecture, digital art and environmental art to make up a collection presented on the occasion of the inauguration of the Xi’An International Children’s Art Museum, along with a previously unseen encounter with 100 Chinese paintings.

The delegation of the Salon d'Automne participated in four conferences in several school and universities in the province, which allowed for the occasion to meet and exchange with professors and students alike while discovering studios.

Inaugurated by a splendid preview uniting personalities and media from the region, the exhibition was on view from May 13th to 28th, 2019.

Cyprus

Selection for the Salon d’Automne in Paphos

Paphos, the 3rd largest city in Cyprus and the European Capital of Culture for 2017 will host a collective work by 70 artists selected by the Salon d'Automne together with 30 cypriot artists (20 grec cypriot and 10 turc cypriot for a symbolic exhibition in December 2017.
Thanks to the generous initiative of Michèle Ansermet-Papadopoulos, painter and member of the Salon d'Automne, the theme of this exhibition is ‘the diptych’. This theme symbolises the reconciliation of the two parts that constitute the island. This unique artistic event is supported by the French Institute and the Republic of Cyprus.

The artworks will stay in Cyprus for a second exhibition in Nicosie, capital of Cyprus next mid-march 2018, for the Francophone days, in l'Institut Français and in our partner, the COLLECTION GALLERY.
