Since 1903, Le Salon d’Automne has organised a major annual exhibition of living artists, representing various artistic movements, at a prestigious venue.

As announced, our 123rd edition will take place on the Place de la Concorde from 27 October to 1 November 2026, and over the course of these six days, works by more than 1,000 artists from 50 different countries will be on display.

Preparations for Le Salon d’Automne take place throughout the year in various stages, and as the event approaches, we enter a practical phase of preparation involving the selection of artists and the advance organisation of all aspects of the event.

The selection of artists, which is the central and most important aspect of the Salon, is carried out collectively by a jury of around thirty people, comprising members of the Board of Directors and heads of the sections and groups.

A key feature of Le Salon d’Automne is that it groups artists’ works into 10 sections: Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Drawing, Photography, Environmental Art, Myths & Singularities, Unknown Worlds, Digital Art, and Artists’ Books. Painting is presented by artistic movement in nine distinct groups: Abstraction, Naïve Art, Chromatics, Free Expression, Figurative Art, Heritage and Innovation, Imaginary Worlds, Synthesis and Variations.

This model benefits both the artists and the visitors, who can explore the exhibition in a structured way. A lead representative for each artistic movement works throughout the year to coordinate and energise their group.

It is indeed the pooling of all these resources that enables us to organise an exhibition of such high quality. The next edition promises to be a prestigious event, and we are proud of it.
