The Salon d'Automne boosts the new generation of artists

The Salon d'Automne is back for its 122nd edition! From October 29 to November 2, it will take over the emblematic Place de la Concorde, a stone's throw from its birthplace, the Petit Palais. To mark the occasion, this artists' fair, made by artists for artists, is reaffirming its commitment to young contemporary artists with the Boost Jeunes Créateurs scheme. This initiative will enable 5 artists under the age of 25 to benefit from an exhibition free of charge, while a preferential rate reduced by more than 50% remains available to creators under the age of 31.

Supported by the French Ministry of Culture and internationally renowned with over 48 nationalities represented, the Salon d'Automne has, since its beginnings in 1903, helped to bring to the fore major figures and movements behind the artistic revolutions of the 20th century. This year, it will be organized around an exhibition of over 4,000m², bringing together more than 1,000 works divided into 19 sections. 30,000 visitors are expected to attend the new edition of this major international contemporary art event, which marks the opening of the vibrant Parisian cultural season.

A unique springboard for young artists
For the past 3 years, the Salon d'Automne's Boost Jeunes Créateurs program, deliberately integrated into the heart of the programming, has helped to spotlight a new generation of artists and reinforce the Salon's vocation to support emerging talent.

Last year's edition revealed four promising young artists, chosen for the quality of their approach and their creative potential: Léonard ALIXANT, BOLDA, Gaspi and Matthieu SCHAEFFER.

On the strength of this success and the significant impact of the young artist support program, the Salon d'Automne continues its commitment to the younger generation of artists. For this 122nd edition, the Boost Jeunes Créateurs scheme has been renewed to enable seven young artists under 25 to be offered exhibition fees. A preferential rate of over 50% is also available for artists under 31.

This is a real opportunity to make a name for oneself on the French art scene, as well as internationally, thanks to the partnerships forged between the Salon d'Automne and foreign cultural players: such is the case with the Packaging touring project (Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Netherlands), or the partnership with Japan, which offers numerous artists the chance to exhibit at Tokyo's National Art Center. Other projects and exhibitions have been launched in Cyprus, Israel, Spain, China and Brazil.
