He is the ideal patron for this edition, which will focus on the sea thanks to the ‘La Mer en Commun’ label awarded by the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
Louis Burton is a French sailor born in 1985, known for his exploits in ocean racing. Passionate about sailing from a young age, he has distinguished himself in several prestigious competitions, notably the Route du Rhum, the Transat Jacques Vabre and, above all, the Vendée Globe, which he finished in third place in 2020-2021.
At the helm of the Bureau Vallée sailing project, he skippers an IMOCA yacht with an eco-friendly approach. His sailing style combines daring, endurance and strategy, making him a respected figure in the world of sailing.
Beyond his exploits at sea, Louis Burton is actively involved in passing on his passion to younger generations by organising video conferences and visits to his boat.
Louis Burton will take part in the Transat Café L'Or during the Salon d'Automne week, but will also make two live appearances during the show from his boat.
Join us on Tuesday 28 September and Saturday 1 October at 7pm for Louis Burton's video conferences at the Salon d'Automne 2025!
