A former disciple of the Beaux-Arts de Paris, Medjid Houari mainly uses metals (steel, copper, brass, stainless steel…) for his sculptures.

Abstraction and rigidity, purity of lines, sobriety of forms, a certain examination which doesn’t exclude an abundant imagination, his work doesn’t show monotony or repetition and constantly renews itself. He dreams and sees, more than conceives his dream and vision: inscribe the work in an absolute space, desert, cosmos, and transcend the time.
