We are delighted to announce the introduction of a new prize to be awarded by the City of Saulieu, home of the Musée Pompon, to an animal sculptor exhibiting at the forthcoming Salon d'Automne.

The Prix Pompon celebrates excellence in animal sculpture.
It was at the Salon d'Automne in 1922 that François Pompon first presented his now-famous polar bear, a reproduction of which will be exhibited at the 120th Salon d'Automne.

As the winner of the Prix Pompon, you will benefit from a personal exhibition at the Musée de Saulieu, dedicated to the work of François Pompon. Your exhibition will be a unique opportunity to showcase your talent in a prestigious setting and attract the attention of a varied public, from art lovers to industry professionals.

We urge you to seize this opportunity and take part in the next Salon d'Automne, to be held from January 18 to 21, 2024 at the Grande Halle de La Villette.
All sculptors whose animal works are selected by the Salon d'Automne jury will automatically compete for the Prix Pompon.

Please note that following the introduction of this prize, the new deadline for entries is July 1. The application form on our website is therefore exceptionally open after the previously announced dates.
