  Ольга виробила власний неповторний стиль малювання на межі з ілюстрацією. Вона говорила, що Анрі Руссо спочатку був для неї впливовим фактором. Її твори, як добрі казки, розповідають нам про прості речі, які нас оточують, природу, людей, уклад життя. Деякі фахівці навіть використовують їх у психотерапії.
  English:
  Olga has developed her own style of art on the frontier between painting and illustration. She mentioned Henri Rousseau as a major influence in her early career. Her works are often fairy tales, acutely tuned and always empathic to the mundane things surrounding us, nature, people, and way of life. No wonder, some specialists turn them into tools for psychotherapy.

  Поліна Кузнєцова… її роботи привертають увагу в одну мить. Її краєвиди схожі на бурмотливі піснеспіви, що лунають з переплетених гілок чарівного лісу. Її портрети жінок – відьом чи чарівниць – не менш магічні у своїй незграбності, беручи силу від української землі.
  П.: Поліно, що тебе найбільше надихає, коли ти починаєш малювати?
  В.: Переплетення гілок пізньої осені чи ранньої весни – це нескінченна історія. Це також може бути глибина голого мокрого лісу. Я щось там шукаю. Мене постійно відволікають, а точніше притягують люди. І я кидаюсь малювати портрети. Зазвичай це самотні фігури, які дивляться прямо в очі глядачеві… Я люблю малювати людей, коли вони дивляться мені прямо в очі. Коли хтось довго позує, він/вона нічого не може приховати, і тоді я маю бачення того, що ховається за цими голими гілками лісу.

  Polina Kuznetsova… her artworks compel one’s attention in a wink. Her landscapes are like a chanting murmur, heard from the interwoven branches of a charmed forest. Her portraits of women - witches or enchantresses - are no less magical in their angularity, and always infused with the harshness of the Ukrainian soil.
  Q.: What is your inspiration when you start a new painting, Polina?
  A.: …The interlacing of the branches in late Autumn or early Spring is a never ending story… Could also be the depth and mystery of a naked, wet forest. In fact, any place where I feel attracted to seek for understanding. I may feel distracted too, or to be correct, attracted by people. And then I jump to paint portraits. They are lonely figures usually, looking straight into the viewer’s eyes… I like to paint people when they look straight into my eyes for a long pose. Nothing can be hidden anymore, and me… I have this ephemeral vision of what was hiding behind those naked forest branches.

  Художник і поет Давид Бурлюк вважається «батьком» російського футуризму (і навіть японського!), а також «хрещеним батьком» поета В. Маяковського. Він вивчав живопис у Мюнхені та Парижі, окрім мистецьких шкіл у російській імперії, та звик змішувати різні авангардні стилі. У 1920 р. Д.Бурлюк емігрував до Японії, а звідти у 1922 р. до США, де продовжив свою мистецьку та літературну діяльність.
  Для цілей цієї серії ми демонструємо художників, які народилися на офіційній території сучасної України, незалежно від геополітичної ситуації на момент їхнього народження.
  Недавня геополітична історія робить скрутним правильну ідентифікацію деяких людей з цього регіону. Але для любителів історії і мистецтва митець може бути росіянином, українцем або обома.

  David Burliuk… a painter and a poet, is considered the “father” of the Russian Futurism Movement, and even of a similar Japanese one! He was the “Godfather” of V. Mayakovsky. He studied painting in Munich and Paris, besides art schools in the Russian Empire, and was always exploring a mix of various avant-garde styles. In 1920, Burliuk emigrated to Japan, and from there to the USA in 1922, where he pursued his artistic and literary career.
• For the purpose of this Series, we may showcase artists born on the modern Ukraine official territory, whatever the geopolitical situation at the time of their birth.
  Recent geopolitical history makes it treacherous to properly identify some people from this region. But for History (with a big H) and Art Lovers, an artist can be Russian, Ukrainian, or both.

  Денис Саражін… є художник, творчість якого не залишить байдужим нікого. Він розробив власний живописний метод і яскравий стиль, пронизуючи полотно своїми ламаними лініями, що вибудовують його сюжети. Завжди експериментуючи з насиченими й складними кольорами, він є майстром фактурного живопису.

  Denis Sarazhin… his over creative works hardly leave you indifferent. He has developed his own pictorial method and catchy style, piercing the canvas with his broken lines to recompose his subjects. Always experimenting with rich and surprisingly concocted colors, he is a master of textured painting.
