LE SALON D’AUTOMNE

The last word

The 2024 edition of the Salon d'Automne, held on the Champs-Élysées, marked a real return to basics, reviving the founding values that make this event so unique.

Under the banner of ‘Back to Basics’, this year's event put the artist at the centre of everything we do. The choice of venue and period, autumn on the Champs-Élysées, reinforced the identity and appeal of the Show. What's more, we've reaffirmed the Salon's primary mission: to present and defend contemporary artists who are representative of current trends and disciplines in art.

This year, the emphasis was on the quality of the reception and presentation of the works, to offer artists the best possible conditions for exhibiting and promoting their work. It was a resounding success, with the artists recording their best sales for several years, supported by a passionate public, enthusiastic collectors and increased recognition from institutions.

A big thank you to Yann Le Quellec, patron of this year's event, for his active presence and enriching exchanges with artists and visitors alike. Michel Cabu's orchestra, which played on Saturday afternoon, also contributed to the warm and friendly atmosphere that characterises our show.

The unique model of sections and groups once again proved its effectiveness, encouraging exchanges and creating a strong dynamic between the artists. Added to this was the high level of media coverage, which attracted a wider audience than ever before.

This collective success should not blind us to the fact that the future of the Show is still to be built. We have the means and the desire to go even further. As of today, we are preparing the 2025 edition, which will be held on the Champs-Élysées from 29 October to 2 November 2025.

Thank you to everyone - artists, visitors, partners and volunteers - for making 2024 such an unforgettable event. We look forward to seeing you next year with the same enthusiasm and high ambitions.

Jean-Christophe Lévêque
President of the Salon d'Automne
